ANNOUNCMENT OF THE 2ND CONTEST OF FOREST OWNERS IN FORESTRY DISCIPLINES

In cooperation with the Forest Extension Service, Croatian Union of Private Forest Owners' Associations organises the second competition of private forest owners in forestry disciplines in Križevci. EXPERT EXCURSION AND VISIT TO THE FORESTRY MUSEUM IN KRASNO

In cooperation with the Union, Forest Extension Service organised a one-day field trip to the village Krasno on Velebit Mountain, a traditional Croatian forestry resort. Hosts of this trip were the PFO "Fortica" from Otocac and Lika-Sjeverna Dalmacija branch of the Forest Extension Service. The participants had to opportunity to hear a few interesting presentations on private forestry in the region, and also to visit some interesting places like the wells of the Gacka river, cheese factory in Krasno and Forestry Museum in the same village.
5th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF PRIVATE FOREST OWNERS HELD IN VRBOVEC

In the organization of Croatian Union of Private Forest Owners' Associations and PFO "Vrba" from Vrbovec and in cooperation with the Forest Extension Service, the 5th annual conference of private forest owners was held in Vrbovec. The meeting was filled with various interesting lectures, cultural manifestations and a visit to the local private forests and forest roads which were built with subsidies. Presentations and field trip provided an insight to the most up-to-date problems in private forests in Croatia.
Croatian Union of Private Forest Owners' Associations was founded on June 7th 2008 as an independent, nonparty interest organization of voluntarily assembled associations of private forest owners and land users, founded with the purpose of pursuing mutual interests of the Union's members under conditions set by the Act on NGOs and the Statute.
Association's main goal is to enhance the quality and economical value of forests and forest products and improve management of private forests through planned associating and work of private forest owners' associations and forest users as well as cooperation in project implementation in the forestry field.
